Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to find us a trustworthy tradesperson for our renovation project. We signed up and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

  • Worst of all, their support team was non-existent.

We are extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would recommend against using their website. There are plenty of alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our time on this ineffective service.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with reliable tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a shambles.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you believe Checkatrade. Their whole scheme is designed to take your money. They promise the world but they barely anything. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will bat an eyelid.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as incompetent as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like talking to a wall.

So, steer well clear of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us click here a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

My rundown with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I booked a trader through their service to carry out some vital home repairs. They looked legitimate at first, but it ended up a horrendous ordeal.

Although I transferred the full amount upfront, the work never started. Contact became impossible. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.

Their customer service has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
